Let’s start from the beginning! We had another great and beneficial visit from our Leadership Consultant, Elizabeth. We are always so eager to welcome her to our chapter facility, as she helps our members and chapter grow as leaders and strong women. Our week with her was also filled with fun! We went roller skating! Our sisterhood retreat this month helped our sisters bond and grow closer. We were excited to end that night with a trip to the roller rink. Our sisters had a blast and it was a great way to grow together. At the beginning of the month, we held a tabling event in the union on Bowling Green’s campus. This tabling provided students with resources to assist with substance abuse and addiction. We worked with Sigma Kappa’s #respEKt movement. Throughout the month, our sisters have taken multiple trips to the local nursing home to play bingo with some of the residents. The residents and our sisters always leave a little happier. It is very important to us to reach out to the community and lend a helping hand. This is why we also have done a few Adopt-A-Blocks this month. Our sisters go around the campus and surrounding community to pick up trash. In February, we welcomed six new members. It has been great getting to know them and welcome them to our sisterhood. This past week their big sisters were revealed. Everyone was very excited and we can already tell that amazing bonds are growing! Calling all moms! Mom’s day was held on March 30th, and it was great seeing everyone together. The day was filled with food, trivia, bingo, and raffles! We would like to thank our moms for coming out and making this event a success!
This month we were able to have a Covid safe philanthropy. We were able to socially distance ourselves as we walked and raised money for the Alzheimer's Association. We raised over $600 with several sisters raising over $500 each. We have also had the opportunity to have a social and several sisterhoods over zoom. We look forward to what will come next month.
